CERT MRC and First Responder First Aid Kits

About 30 years after the program was begone Tens of thousands of people have now taken training in CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) program. People all cross the America have learned basic skills in first aid, fire safety, emergency preparedness and response to help there community. Hundreds of neighborhoods have formed teams that can assist in times of disaster.

MRC or Medical Reserve Corps is a volunteer network of teams of medically trained professionals and can respond to and augment national public health in the form of mobile clinics and emergency medical stations and other medical needs. Their are several dozen MRC teams across the country. A few new teams have sprung up to provide veterinary services in times of disaster The MRC program is administered by Health and Human Services.

Fire Corps and Volunteers in Police Service:
These programs provide valuable assistance to fire departments and police departments as volunteers. There service relieves staff professionals of more administrative and support duties to provide more direct services for the public and helps to educate the community in a variety of ways.

Fire Corps is funded through DHS and is managed and implemented through a partnership between the National Volunteer Fire Council, the International Association of Fire Fighters, and the International Association of Fire Chiefs. Funded by DOJ, VIPS (Volunteers in Police Service) is managed and implemented by the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
